A New Plane Thence… A New AD

In preparation of his incoming DA62, Scott purchased an essentially brand new DA42 to obtain his multi-engine rating and become familiar with the Diamond. Havens Aero was dispatched to do a logbook review, pre-purchase pre-flight and ferry the DA42 from Houston to it’s new home in Minneapolis. Scott was able to ride along as well and get familiar with the DA42 before starting training back home.

Unfortunately training was cut short. While there were no outstanding AD’s when the plane was purchased, a required inspection popped up a few weeks later. While covered by the factory there was still a matter of down time to consider. Thankfully we were able to find a quick match lining up schedules with Scott, Havens Aero and Steel Aviation to complete the MX quickly and get the plane shuttled back and forth all within a week!

Ferrying an RV-12 From Oregon to Florida

Havens Aero was honored to get the call from Brian, a former ferry client, to deliver this new to him RV-12 to Florida. While his 182 turned into a flip rather than training tool, Brian had just completed his sport pilot rating and was excited to get his hands on an airplane for himself. This RV-12 was built by Dan (near Portland) with care and precision then painted with an incredible custom out-of-this-world livery. Come along for the three day journey massaged and pushed by weather in this blue sky flyer.

Reunited with his Cessna 140

A few years ago, Mike owned N72885 but had to part ways… until now! This 1946 Cessna 140 spent a few years living in the Midwest before making the journey back out to Phoenix. Although weather made for some longer days than planned, this Cessna 140 was safely reunited on budget to a thrilled owner!
